An 8 to 9 week flower makes Cadillac Rainbow a realistic outdoor plant across most of the country. BC, southern Ontario and Quebec can plant out in late May and cut in the last week of September or the first days of October, and the cooling nights in that window are exactly what the colour needs. The Maritimes will usually finish by the first week of October in a sheltered, south-facing spot. The buds are large but not especially dense, so branch support is rarely needed before the final fortnight, and even then a single stake usually does it.

Colour arrives before ripeness on this plant, which catches people out: a fully purple Cadillac Rainbow at day 50 is still two weeks from done. Check trichomes from day 54 and harvest when they are mostly cloudy with the first amber showing, usually day 58 to 63. Dry slowly at 60% humidity for 12 days to protect the citrus notes, then cure.
