An 8 to 9 week bloom and a compact frame make Black Ice a good outdoor plant in most of the country. The BC coast and interior harvest in the last week of September. Southern Ontario and the Ottawa valley finish in the first days of October. Height and training

Top once or twice and tie the branches outward; left alone, Black Ice grows a thick central cola with small buds underneath. A screen of green evens the canopy and lets each branch finish a solid top. Remove the lowest growth at the flip, as those sites rarely develop and only trap moisture.

Flowering and harvest cues

Trichomes cloud up quickly in the last two weeks. Harvest when most heads are cloudy with 10% to 20% amber for the classic heavy effect.
