Han Solo Burger Feminized at a glance: Han Solo Burger is a 70/30 indica leaning cross of GMO and Larry OG that flowers in 9 to 10 weeks, tests 22% to 28% THC and yields 450 to 550 g/m² of chunky, resin-crusted buds that smell like garlic, pepper and lemon peel on a hot grill.
Four plants per household, so a resin-heavy keeper earns its slot
In most provinces a household is limited to four plants, which changes the maths: every slot should hold something worth curing. Han Solo Burger earns that place with dense, sticky colas and a flavour nobody mistakes for anything else. The seeds sit in our Vancouver, BC seed bank and leave in plain packaging, so a pack ordered on a Monday is usually in Halifax, Regina or Kamloops within 3 to 7 business days, with no customs declaration involved. Each pack is covered by our 80% germination guarantee, and the 10 and 25 seed packs are buy one get one free.
Where Han Solo Burger comes from
Han Solo Burger strain was bred in the late 2010s by crossing GMO, the garlic-and-diesel indica also sold as Garlic Cookies, with Larry OG, a lemon-pine OG Kush selection. GMO brought the savoury funk, the long flower and the heavy trichome load. Larry OG trimmed the bloom time, tightened the bud structure and added a bright citrus edge that keeps the garlic from becoming flat. The cross caught on quickly with hash makers and then became a parent itself: Donny Burger is Han Solo Burger bred back to GMO, and several later Burger crosses trace to it.
The name is a film joke. In the 2012 comedy That’s My Boy, Adam Sandler plays Donny Berger, whose son is named Han Solo Berger. The “burger” spelling also suits the smell, which really does read like a backyard grill. Growers usually report two phenotypes: a GMO leaning plant that is stinkier, slower and more garlic forward, and a Larry OG leaning plant with more lemon, a firmer OG shape and a finish closer to nine weeks.
Han Solo Burger strain effects and experience
The effect is calm from the start. Within a few minutes most people notice a quiet head and loosening shoulders, then a warm, tingly weight that spreads down the arms and legs. The mind stays reasonably clear for the first hour, enough for a film or a long dinner, before the indica side takes the wheel and the evening winds down. Reviewers most often describe it as relaxed, sleepy and tingly, and few call it a daytime strain.
At 22% to 28% THC, Han Solo Burger is strong enough to surprise someone used to milder flower. The GMO leaning phenotype in particular hits hard and lingers. Start with a small amount, give it twenty minutes, and expect dry mouth and a serious appetite if the session runs long.
Han Solo Burger flavour, aroma and appearance
This is a savoury strain first and last. A cured jar opens with roasted garlic and onion, then black pepper, then a sharp squeeze of lemon peel from the Larry OG side. Grinding releases diesel and a woody, almost tobacco-like base. The smoke is thick and peppery on the inhale with a citrus and earth exhale, and some reviewers pick up a faint berry or floral note on the Larry leaning plants. Caryophyllene usually leads the terpene profile, which explains the pepper, with limonene and myrcene close behind.
The buds are medium to large, rock hard and conical, with lime-green calyxes, copper pistils and a frosting of trichomes heavy enough to look wet under light. Cool late nights can pull a little purple into the sugar leaves, but colour is not the selling point here; resin is.
Growing Han Solo Burger in Canada
Indoors
Give Han Solo Burger four to five weeks of veg and flip at 35 to 45 cm. It stretches about 1.5 to 2 times, finishing between 90 and 150 cm depending on phenotype. Keep the room at 24 to 27 degrees with lights on and hold humidity at 50% in early bloom, dropping to 40% to 45% from week five, because these colas are dense and the GMO side has little patience for stagnant air. It feeds moderately to heavily and shows nitrogen hunger in the lower fan leaves around week three of flower. A good carbon filter is not optional: the garlic aroma travels through vents, stairwells and shared walls.
Outdoors, by region
A 9 to 10 week bloom limits Han Solo Burger to the mildest parts of the country outdoors. On Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast and the Lower Mainland, start indoors in April, plant out in late May and expect a harvest in the first half of October, ideally under a rain shelter for the last two weeks. In southern Ontario, the Niagara Peninsula and Lake Erie shoreline give the best odds, with a finish in early to mid October in a warm year. Interior BC, the Prairies, Quebec’s colder regions and the Atlantic provinces are better served by a tent, a greenhouse or a shorter strain; our best outdoor seeds for Canada guide lists options that finish in September.
Height and training
Han Solo Burger branches well and takes topping without sulking. Top once or twice, spread the branches under a single net and aim for 8 to 10 main colas at an even height. The Larry OG leaning plants stretch more, so flip them a little earlier. Clear the lower third of the plant at the flip and thin interior fan leaves around day 21 to keep air moving through the middle.
Flowering and harvest cues
Pistils turn early, but the plant is not finished until the trichomes say so, usually between day 63 and 70. Mostly cloudy heads with 10% to 15% amber give the best balance of flavour and body effect. Dry slowly for 12 to 14 days at 60% humidity and around 18 degrees. The garlic softens and the lemon comes forward after two to three weeks of cure.
Han Solo Burger yield indoors and outdoors
Indoors, a trained canopy under a strong LED returns 450 to 550 g/m² of heavy flower that loses relatively little weight in the dry. Outdoor plants on the coast in 60 to 80 litre pots produce 500 to 700 g each in a good season. The real bonus is resin: Han Solo Burger washes and presses well, so trim and lower buds are worth saving for dry sift, bubble hash or rosin.
Who Han Solo Burger is for, and who should pick something else
Choose Han Solo Burger feminized seeds if you love savoury, garlic and fuel profiles, if you make your own hash or rosin, or if you want a GMO type plant that finishes a week or more sooner than GMO itself. It suits growers with a couple of harvests behind them who can keep a room dry and filtered.
Look elsewhere if you prefer sweet or fruity flavours, if odour control is impossible where you live, or if you need an outdoor plant for a short Prairie season. First-time growers will also find a shorter, more forgiving hybrid easier to dial in.
How Han Solo Burger compares
GMO is the garlic parent: funkier, slower to finish and even heavier on the body. Donny Burger, its best known child, pushes the GMO side further for a stickier, gassier plant. Hashburger is a later Burger family cross built for solventless hash. If you want the savoury theme with a more classic shape, OG Kush shares the Larry OG backbone. Frequently asked questions about Han Solo Burger
What strain is Han Solo Burger?
Han Solo Burger is a cross of GMO and Larry OG. It is an indica dominant hybrid, around 70/30, known for a savoury garlic, pepper and lemon aroma and 22% to 28% THC. It is also the parent of Donny Burger and an ancestor of several later Burger family strains.
Is Han Solo Burger indica or sativa?
Han Solo Burger is an indica dominant hybrid, roughly 70% indica and 30% sativa. The effect is calm and physical from the first few minutes, with a clear head early on and a sleepy finish. Most people treat it as an evening strain.
Why is it called Han Solo Burger?
The name comes from the 2012 comedy That’s My Boy, where Adam Sandler’s character Donny Berger has a son named Han Solo Berger. The burger spelling also fits the strain’s savoury, grill-like garlic and onion smell, and its child strain is called Donny Burger.
What does Han Solo Burger taste like?
Han Solo Burger tastes savoury: roasted garlic and onion with black pepper, a squeeze of lemon peel and a diesel finish. GMO leaning plants are more garlic forward, while Larry OG leaning plants show more lemon and pine. A two to three week cure smooths the garlic and brings the citrus out.
