Amnesia Feminized Marijuana Seeds

(2 customer reviews)

Price range: $65.00 through $240.00

Amnesia is a classic sativa dominant haze with roots in Afghani, Hawaiian, Jamaican and Southeast Asian landraces, and it earned its name with a heady, uplifting high that can make you forget what you walked into the room for. It tests 17% to 22% THC and smells of lemon peel, pepper, incense and earth. The plant grows tall and needs 9 to 11 weeks of flower, so it is best suited to indoor growers with headroom. Feminized seeds, shipped from our Vancouver seed bank inside Canada in 3 to 7 business days.

Amnesia Feminized at a glance: a 70/30 sativa dominant haze that flowers in 9 to 11 weeks, tests 17% to 22% THC, grows 100 to 180 cm indoors, yields 350 to 550 g/m², and brings a citrus, pepper and incense aroma with long, airy-to-firm spears of bud.

A haze for the long Canadian winter, with no overseas wait

Amnesia’s long bloom makes it a poor match for most Canadian summers but a great one for a winter tent, when the lights add warmth to the room and a bright, sativa high is welcome through the dark months. Because our seeds are stocked in Vancouver, BC, there is no import delay: the pack goes out by domestic mail in plain packaging and arrives in 3 to 7 business days anywhere in the country. Every batch is viability tested, the 80% germination guarantee covers your pack, and 10 and 25 seed packs are buy one get one free.

Where Amnesia comes from

Amnesia belongs to the haze family that grew out of the Netherlands in the 1990s. Its background combines Afghani, Hawaiian and Jamaican genetics with Southeast Asian landraces from Laos and Cambodia, the tall, slow-flowering sativas that give every true haze its incense and spice. Breeders stabilized it in Amsterdam, and it became a coffee shop staple long before most North Americans had heard of it.

Amnesia is often confused with Amnesia Haze. The two are close relatives with a similar effect, but Amnesia tends to be a little more compact and a touch less sour, with a stronger pepper and earth note.

Amnesia strain effects and experience

This is a head strain. The onset is quick and bright, with a clear, buzzing energy, a sharper sense of music and colour, and a flood of ideas. It is a good companion for a walk, a creative project or housework you have been putting off. The body stays light the whole way through, with only a gentle looseness late in the session. The name is not a joke, though: a strong dose can scatter your short-term focus and leave you wandering off mid-sentence.

At 17% to 22% THC it is strong but not extreme. Some people find a large amount of any haze a bit racy, so a modest first session is wise.

Amnesia flavour, aroma and appearance

The nose is pure haze: lemon peel and sharp citrus on top, then black pepper, incense and damp earth, with a faint floral note some growers compare to rose. The smoke is spicy and slightly sour, with a lingering peppery finish. Terpinolene, limonene, caryophyllene and myrcene usually lead the profile, which is why it smells so different from modern dessert strains.

The flowers form long, tapering spears with a high calyx to leaf ratio, lime green with bright orange pistils and a solid trichome coat. They are lighter and less dense than an indica bud, which is an advantage in humid conditions.

Growing Amnesia in Canada

Indoors

Height is the main thing to plan for. Amnesia stretches 2 to 2.5 times after the flip, so switch to 12/12 early, at 30 to 40 cm, to finish between 100 and 180 cm. Warm, steady conditions suit it best: 24 to 28 degrees during lights on and humidity at 50% to 55% in veg, falling to 40% to 45% late in flower. It needs a lighter feed than most indicas, especially nitrogen in bloom. Flowering runs 63 to 77 days, and the last two weeks are when the buds really fill in, so resist the urge to cut early. Our indoor growing guide for Canada covers ventilation and power costs for a long run.

Outdoors, by region

A mid to late October finish rules Amnesia out of open ground in almost all of Canada. The exception is the BC south coast, where a greenhouse or a large hoop house on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands or the Lower Mainland can carry it through October while keeping the rain off. Start seeds indoors in March or early April and move the plant out in late May. In southern Ontario, a greenhouse on the Lake Erie shore can work in a warm fall, but it is a gamble. For the Prairies, Quebec, the North and Atlantic Canada, grow it indoors, where you control the season.

Height and training

Train it hard and early. Top at the fourth node, then again on the new leaders, and pin the branches flat under a screen so the canopy grows sideways instead of up. Keep weaving new growth under the screen through the first two weeks of flower. Supercropping, a gentle pinch and bend of the tallest stems, is a handy fix if a few tops race ahead. Light defoliation is enough, since the leaves are thin and the bud sites get good light already.

Flowering and harvest cues

Haze plants look done before they are. Pistils darken and curl from week eight, but the calyxes keep swelling for another two to three weeks. Harvest when most trichomes are cloudy and only a few are amber, usually day 70 to 77, to keep the bright, energetic character. Dry for 10 to 12 days at 60% humidity and cure for at least three weeks; the incense and citrus sharpen with time.

Amnesia yield indoors and outdoors

Indoors, a well trained screen produces 350 to 550 g/m², rewarding growers who take the time to fill it. In a coastal BC greenhouse, a single plant in a large bed can yield 500 to 700 g of dried flower. The buds dry quickly because they are less dense than an indica’s, and they rarely suffer from bud rot, which makes up for some of the extra weeks.

Who Amnesia is for, and who should pick something else

Choose Amnesia if you want a classic haze flavour and a daytime high, have a tall tent or a grow room with headroom, and do not mind a longer run. It suits growers who are comfortable with training.

Pick something else if you need an outdoor strain for a Canadian summer or a fast indoor turnaround, where Gelonade keeps the citrus and energy in a much shorter bloom.

How Amnesia compares

Super Silver Haze is frostier and slightly more relaxing. Amnesia Haze is the sourer, taller sibling. Among our sativa feminized seeds, Amnesia is the one we recommend to growers who want an old-school haze that still fits under a normal tent roof with training.

Frequently asked questions about Amnesia

Is Amnesia the same as Amnesia Haze?

They are close relatives but not identical. Both come from the same haze family and give a bright, heady effect. Amnesia Feminized is usually a little more compact with a stronger pepper and earth note, while Amnesia Haze tends to be taller and more sour and lemony.

How tall does Amnesia get indoors?

Amnesia stretches 2 to 2.5 times after the switch to 12/12, so it usually finishes between 100 and 180 cm indoors. Flipping early, at 30 to 40 cm, and training the plant flat under a screen keeps it manageable in a standard tent.

How long does Amnesia take to flower?

Amnesia flowers in 9 to 11 weeks, or 63 to 77 days. The last two weeks are when the buds put on most of their final weight, so it pays to wait for cloudy trichomes rather than cutting when the pistils first darken.

Can Amnesia be grown outdoors in Canada?

Only in limited cases. It finishes in mid to late October, which is too late for open ground in most of the country. A greenhouse on the BC south coast is the most reliable outdoor option; elsewhere it is best grown indoors.
