Lemon Skunk Strain Feminized Marijuana Seeds

Price range: $65.00 through $240.00

Lemon Skunk strain is an old-school sativa dominant Skunk with a twist: two Skunk plants chosen because one of them smelled unmistakably of fresh lemons. It tests a moderate 17% to 22% THC, gives a happy, energetic high that suits daytime, and grows into a tall, generous plant that forgives beginner mistakes. It flowers in 8 to 9 weeks and yields 450 to 600 g/m² indoors. Our feminized seeds are already in Canada, shipped from Vancouver, BC in 3 to 7 business days.

Lemon Skunk Feminized at a glance: Lemon Skunk is a sativa dominant cross of two Skunk phenotypes that flowers in 8 to 9 weeks, tests 17% to 22% THC and yields 450 to 600 g/m² of long, light green, resin-coated colas that smell of lemon zest with a sweet skunky edge.

Two decades on Canadian grow-room shelves, and still stocked in Vancouver

Lemon Skunk was a familiar name in Canadian grow shops long before legal storefronts opened, and growers here still ask for it by name. The seeds are already in our Vancouver, BC seed bank, so there is no import and no customs delay; they ship in plain packaging and arrive in 3 to 7 business days across Canada. Because it is an easy, adaptable plant that finishes by early October, it is one of the classics we suggest to people planting their first legal four-plant garden.

Where Lemon Skunk comes from

Lemon Skunk strain began with a lemon-scented Skunk mother that a grower kept going in Las Vegas for many years. That plant was crossed with a second hand-picked Skunk phenotype, and the most citrus-forward offspring were selected and stabilized in the early 2000s. It became one of the most widely grown lemon strains in North America and a parent in many later hybrids, including Lemon Pound Cake and Pink Lemonade.

It is a sativa dominant hybrid, around 60/40 to 70/30, and its Skunk #1 roots show in its vigour and reliability. You may also see it listed as “Lemon Skunk OG”, but that is the same plant, not a cross with OG Kush.

Lemon Skunk strain effects and experience

The effect starts quickly with a bright lift in mood and a feeling of clear, easy energy. Most people describe it as happy and focused rather than racy, the sort of high that pairs well with cleaning the house, a bike ride or a long conversation. The body stays light, with only a mild relaxation creeping in after an hour or so. Because the THC is moderate, it stays manageable for people who find modern 28% strains too much.

Expect a dry mouth and slightly dry eyes. A very large dose can bring a brief jittery feeling, so pace yourself if you are sensitive to sativas.

Lemon Skunk flavour, aroma and appearance

The nose is fresh lemon zest first, sharp and clean, followed by the sweet, musky skunk note the family is known for. Ground buds add a little pepper and earth. The smoke tastes like lemon candy with a skunky finish, and in a good cure it is surprisingly smooth. Lab reports differ between cuts: myrcene often tops the list, with limonene and caryophyllene close behind, and some phenotypes show terpinolene, which adds a fresh, slightly herbal note.

The colas are long and spear-shaped, light to lime green with orange pistils and a good coating of resin. Buds are firmer than most sativas but not rock hard, which helps them shed moisture after a rainy day.

Growing Lemon Skunk in Canada

Indoors

Lemon Skunk is easy to grow, but it is tall. Veg for only two to three weeks and flip at 30 to 40 cm, because it can double or even triple in height during the stretch. Expect a finished height of 100 to 180 cm. It accepts a wide range of feeding and pH and recovers quickly from mistakes, which makes it a strong first strain. Keep day temperatures at 22 to 27 degrees and humidity around 50% in flower. Harvest between day 56 and day 65; some growers wait an extra week to boost the citrus. The aroma is strong in late flower, so a carbon filter is important in apartments; our guide to controlling cannabis odour covers the options.

Outdoors, by region

With an 8 to 9 week bloom and a tough Skunk backbone, Lemon Skunk is one of the more dependable outdoor sativas for Canada. On the BC coast and in southern Ontario it finishes in late September, and plants grown in the ground can reach well over two metres. In the Okanagan, the Kootenays, the Ottawa Valley and New Brunswick’s Saint John River valley, expect a harvest in the first week of October. On the Prairies, start seeds indoors in mid April and transplant in late May; the plant handles cold nights well, but give it the sunniest spot available and be ready to harvest in early October before the first hard frost.

Height and training

This is the main thing to manage. Top it twice in veg, use low stress training to keep it flat, and consider a screen to hold the canopy level during the stretch. Outdoors, put in a sturdy stake or a tomato cage early, because the long colas get heavy in September winds.

Flowering and harvest cues

Pistils turn orange from about day 48, and the lemon smell becomes very strong in the final two weeks. Harvest with mostly cloudy trichomes for the most energetic effect, or wait until about 10% are amber for a slightly rounder finish. Dry for 10 to 14 days at 60% humidity; the lemon holds up well in the cure.

Lemon Skunk yield indoors and outdoors

Lemon Skunk is a productive strain. A trained indoor canopy gives 450 to 600 g/m², and outdoor plants in large containers or the ground typically produce 600 to 900 g in a good season. Plants on the Prairies or in other short seasons tend to land toward the lower end, which is still a heavy return for a moderate THC sativa.

Who Lemon Skunk is for, and who should pick something else

Grow Lemon Skunk feminized seeds if you want a reliable daytime sativa, if you love citrus flavours, if you are a beginner looking for a forgiving plant, or if you want a big outdoor plant that will finish before a typical Canadian October turns wet.

Skip it if you have a short tent under 150 cm, if you need a discreet strain with little smell, or if you want a heavy body high. For a classic Skunk with less height and a more balanced effect, Skunk #1 is the family original.

How Lemon Skunk compares

Skunk #1 is earthier and sweeter, with less citrus and a more balanced high. Super Skunk is heavier, more indica and much more pungent. Lemon Pound Cake adds a creamy, cheesy depth on top of the lemon. Pink Lemonade softens it with berry and Purple Kush relaxation. Compare more daytime strains in our sativa feminized seeds range.

Frequently asked questions about Lemon Skunk

Is Lemon Skunk indica or sativa?

Lemon Skunk is a sativa dominant hybrid, around 60/40 to 70/30 sativa. It comes from two Skunk phenotypes and gives a happy, energetic and focused high with only light body relaxation, which makes it a popular daytime strain.

How strong is Lemon Skunk?

Lemon Skunk usually tests between 17% and 22% THC, with less than 1% CBD. That is moderate by modern standards, so it suits people who want a clear, functional high rather than an overwhelming one.

Does Lemon Skunk smell strong?

Yes, Lemon Skunk has a strong smell of lemon zest mixed with sweet skunk, especially in the last two weeks of flower. Indoor growers in apartments or shared buildings should use a carbon filter, and outdoor plants can be noticed from a distance in September.

How tall does Lemon Skunk grow?

Lemon Skunk grows to about 100 to 180 cm indoors and 200 to 280 cm outdoors. It can double or triple in height during the first weeks of flower, so flip it early and use topping or low stress training to keep it manageable.
