Pinnacle Feminized at a glance: Pinnacle is a 70/30 indica dominant hybrid that finishes in 8 to 9 weeks, tests 24% to 32% THC and yields 500 to 600 g/m² of thick, purple-flecked buds with a gassy pine and citrus nose, a minty finish and a heavy coat of resin.

Two strains share the Pinnacle name, and the one shipping from Vancouver is the Slurty 3 cross

Search for Pinnacle and you will find an older Blue Dream and Hindu Kush hybrid as well as the modern Slurty 3 and Gush Mints cross, which can make ordering confusing. The seeds we stock in Vancouver, BC are the modern, high potency Pinnacle described on this page. They ship inside Canada only, leave in unbranded packaging once payment clears, and arrive in 3 to 7 business days with no customs delays. Each lot is viability tested, the 80% germination guarantee applies, and every 10 and 25 seed pack includes a second pack free.

Where Pinnacle comes from

Pinnacle strain is a cross of Slurty 3 and Gush Mints, two modern cultivars from the purple and dessert end of the market. Slurty 3 is a Slurricane and Gelato 33 child that brings deep colour, grape and berry sweetness and a strong body effect. Gush Mints, made from Kush Mints, F1 Durb and Gushers, adds the cool mint, the fuel and an extremely thick resin layer. The result is an indica dominant plant built for potency and weight.

The name causes some confusion. An older strain also sold as Pinnacle combines Blue Dream and Hindu Kush and tests closer to 20% THC, with a lighter, more balanced effect. The modern Slurty 3 and Gush Mints Pinnacle is the one that now appears on most menus with test results above 28%, and it is the version in our packs.

Pinnacle strain effects and experience

Pinnacle starts with a fast rush of euphoria that many people feel in the head and face within a couple of minutes. The mood lifts and colours and music feel more vivid. That phase is short; within half an hour a heavy, full body relaxation moves in and steadily takes over, leaving most users calm, content and fixed to the couch.

With THC that can pass 30%, Pinnacle is one of the strongest strains in our range. It is best kept for experienced users and late evenings. Low tolerance users can find it overwhelming or sedating even in small amounts, and dry mouth and dry eyes are common.

Pinnacle flavour, aroma and appearance

The aroma is loud and layered. A jar of cured Pinnacle opens with sharp gas and pine, followed by a bright citrus zest and a cool, almost menthol mint from the Gush Mints side. Underneath there is a faint grape candy sweetness from Slurty 3. The smoke is thick and gassy on the inhale, then cool and minty on the exhale. Caryophyllene and limonene lead the terpene profile, with humulene and linalool in smaller amounts.

Buds are large, dense and rounded, with deep green calyxes that often show violet and purple streaks, especially when night temperatures drop. The trichome coverage is thick enough to make the flowers look frosted from a distance, and the pistils range from orange to rust.

Growing Pinnacle in Canada

Indoors

Pinnacle grows into a sturdy, medium plant of 90 to 140 cm with strong lateral branches. A four week veg is usually enough. Keep the room at 23 to 27 degrees in the day, and lower night temperatures a few degrees in the final two weeks to bring out the purple. The plant is a hungry feeder in mid flower; increase nitrogen slightly in weeks two and three, then focus on phosphorus and potassium. Because the buds are thick, keep humidity near 40% after week five. Our guide to how much cannabis yields per plant explains how training and light intensity affect the final weight.

Outdoors, by region

Pinnacle’s 8 to 9 week flowering time makes it a realistic outdoor plant in most of southern Canada. In the Lower Mainland, the Okanagan and southern Ontario it usually finishes in late September. Southern Quebec and the Maritimes can harvest in the first week of October with an early June planting. On the Prairies, start the seeds indoors in April and plant out at the end of May; the warm, dry summers of southern Alberta and Saskatchewan suit Pinnacle well, and cool September nights bring out its colour, but cut before a hard frost.

Height and training

The strong side branches respond well to topping and low stress training. Top once or twice and spread the branches under a net to create an even canopy of eight to twelve colas. The heavy buds may need support, so add a second net or stakes in the second half of flower. Remove the small lower growth around the second week of flower to direct energy to the top sites.

Flowering and harvest cues

Most plants finish between day 58 and day 65. Check trichomes from day 55: for the classic heavy Pinnacle effect, harvest when they are mostly cloudy with 15% to 20% amber. Dry for 12 to 14 days in a cool, dark room, then cure for at least two weeks to let the mint and citrus notes come through the gas.

Pinnacle yield indoors and outdoors

Pinnacle is a generous producer. Indoors, a well trained canopy gives 500 to 600 g/m², and outdoors a plant in a large pot or in the ground can return 550 to 800 g. The dense, resinous buds also make it a strong choice for rosin and other extracts.

Because both parents carry strong purple and dessert genetics, expect some variation from seed. Some plants lean toward Slurty 3 with darker colour and more grape in the nose, while others take after Gush Mints with more mint, fuel and resin. If you grow several seeds, label each plant and compare them after the cure before choosing a keeper for future runs.

Who Pinnacle is for, and who should pick something else

Choose Pinnacle if you are an experienced user who wants a heavy evening strain, a grower who values both potency and yield, or someone who enjoys gas, mint and citrus flavours. It suits growers with a run or two of experience.

Pick something else if you are new to cannabis or sensitive to strong THC, or if you want a daytime strain. The parent Slurty 3 offers a sweeter, grape-forward alternative.

How Pinnacle compares

Compared with Gush Mints, Pinnacle is heavier, more colourful and slightly faster, with more fruit from Slurty 3 in the flavour. Slurricane, its grandparent, is a classic purple, relaxing strain with more grape and less gas. Our high THC seeds guide lists more top potency strains for Canadian growers.
