Jenny Kush Feminized at a glance: Jenny Kush is a sativa leaning Amnesia Haze x Kush hybrid that flowers in 9 to 10 weeks, tests 18% to 24% THC and yields 400 to 550 g/m² of light green, resin-covered buds with a fruity haze, lemon-lime and earthy spice flavour.
Rare on Canadian shelves, ready to ship from a Vancouver one
Jenny Kush rarely shows up in provincial stores, and seeds of it are even harder to find in Canada. We keep it in our Vancouver, BC seed bank, so it ships the day payment clears in plain packaging and arrives in 3 to 7 business days, with no customs delay. That matters for a 9 to 10 week strain: getting seeds in hand early in spring is what makes an outdoor harvest on the coast possible before the October rains settle in.
Where Jenny Kush comes from
Jenny Kush strain was bred in Colorado by crossing an Amnesia Haze mother, a cut with Cup-winning haze genetics in its background, with a Kush-heavy male selected for resin and a shorter flowering time. The goal was a haze that could be grown indoors without waiting three months. The name is a little misleading: despite the “Kush”, the plant leans sativa in both growth and effect, usually estimated between 55/45 and 65/35.
The Kush male shows mostly in the structure. Jenny Kush branches more, finishes faster and carries more resin than a pure haze, while the Amnesia Haze side delivers the flavour and the clear, focused high. Phenotypes vary: some lean further toward the haze, with longer flowering and more stretch, while others are bushier and finish closer to day 63.
Jenny Kush strain effects and experience
The onset is quick and bright, with a clear, alert lift that helps with focus and creative work. Most users describe it as upbeat and motivating, a good match for errands, a project or a hike. It can be racy for the first half hour, especially on a big dose, before settling into a calmer, steady energy. A light body relaxation comes in during the second hour, but it rarely becomes sleepy.
THC usually falls between 18% and 24%. Dry mouth is common, and people sensitive to strong sativas may feel a brief edge of restlessness, so a small first session is wise.
Jenny Kush flavour, aroma and appearance
The aroma blends fruity haze and incense with a sharp lemon-lime funk, over a base of earth and spice from the Kush side. Breaking a bud releases more citrus and a woody, peppery note. The smoke tastes of sweet citrus and haze spice, with a slightly earthy finish. Caryophyllene and terpinolene are most often reported, with limonene and myrcene in support, a combination that explains the bright, fresh, slightly herbal profile.
Buds are medium sized, light green and more compact than a pure haze, with plenty of orange pistils and a thick layer of trichomes. They tend to form long, foxtail-free colas when the room stays below 28 degrees.
Growing Jenny Kush in Canada
Indoors
Jenny Kush is a moderate grow, best for someone with a run or two behind them. Veg for three weeks and flip at around 35 cm; the stretch is about double, giving a final height of 100 to 160 cm. It likes 24 to 27 degrees under the lights and moderate nutrients. Haze genetics are sensitive to heavy nitrogen in flower, so taper it off after week three. Keep humidity at 40% to 45% in late flower and harvest between day 63 and day 70.
Outdoors, by region
A 9 to 10 week flower makes Jenny Kush a coastal BC and southern Ontario plant outdoors. On southern Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and the Lower Mainland, start indoors in April, plant out in late May and harvest in the first half of October. The Niagara region and the north shore of Lake Erie offer a similar window. Interior BC and the St. Lawrence valley are possible only in a warm year, ideally in a greenhouse. On the Prairies and in the Atlantic provinces, treat it as an indoor strain; our guide to the fastest flowering seeds for Canada lists strains that finish earlier outdoors.
Height and training
Top Jenny Kush once or twice and use low stress training to create a flat, wide canopy. The haze side responds well to a screen, which helps control the stretch and gives eight to twelve even colas. Avoid heavy defoliation during flower; remove only leaves that block bud sites.
Flowering and harvest cues
The buds stack steadily from week five and the citrus aroma builds in the last three weeks. Start checking trichomes at day 60. Mostly cloudy with a few amber heads gives the most energetic effect, which is what most people want from this strain. Dry slowly for 12 to 14 days at 60% humidity and cure for at least two weeks to bring out the haze spice.
Jenny Kush yield indoors and outdoors
Indoors, a trained canopy produces 400 to 550 g/m². Outdoors on the coast, a well fed plant in a 60 litre container or in the ground gives 500 to 700 g, with the higher end in a warm, dry September. That is a better return than most hazes manage in a Canadian season. Because the buds are less dense than a Kush, they keep their shape in the jar and break up easily by hand, and the resin-heavy trim from the Kush father makes a fragrant batch of dry sift or a citrus-forward butter for the kitchen.
Who Jenny Kush is for, and who should pick something else
Choose Jenny Kush feminized seeds if you love haze flavour but do not want a 12 week flowering time, if you want a daytime strain that helps you stay focused, or if your tent can handle a plant up to about 160 cm.
Choose a different strain if you garden outdoors on the Prairies, if you want an evening wind-down, or if strong sativas tend to make you edgy. For a classic haze with a longer flowering time and an even clearer high, Super Silver Haze is a good comparison.
How Jenny Kush compares
Amnesia Haze, its mother, is taller, takes longer to finish and gives a more intense, cerebral high. Super Silver Haze is similar in flavour but longer in flower. Candy Haze is sweeter and easier for beginners. Compare more daytime strains in our sativa feminized seeds collection.
Frequently asked questions about Jenny Kush
Is Jenny Kush indica or sativa?
Jenny Kush is a sativa leaning hybrid, usually estimated between 55/45 and 65/35 sativa. It comes from Amnesia Haze crossed with a Kush male, and it gives an upbeat, focused high with only light body relaxation.
Why is it called Jenny Kush if it is a haze?
Jenny Kush gets the Kush part of its name from its father, a Kush-line male used to shorten the flowering time and add resin. Its mother is Amnesia Haze, which is why the flavour and effect lean toward a haze despite the name.
What does Jenny Kush taste like?
Jenny Kush tastes like fruity haze and incense with a sharp lemon-lime edge and an earthy, peppery finish. The citrus is strongest in a fresh cure, and the haze spice comes forward after two weeks or more in a jar.
How long does Jenny Kush take to flower?
Jenny Kush flowers in 9 to 10 weeks, or about 63 to 70 days, indoors. That is shorter than most hazes. Outdoors in Canada it finishes in early to mid October, which works on the BC coast and in southern Ontario but is too late for most other regions.
Why Jenny Kush suits haze fans who want a shorter, more manageable plant
Most hazes tie up a tent for three months. Jenny Kush cuts that to about ten weeks, and our seeds are stored in Vancouver, BC and covered by our 80% germination guarantee when you follow the cup of water and paper towel method in our germination guide. Our Vancouver team has been packing seed orders since 2009.
Jenny Kush is sold in 5, 10 and 25 seed packs, and the two larger sizes are buy one get one free. Orders ship in plain, unbranded packaging and arrive in 3 to 7 business days across Canada; shipping is free over $200, and the $30 tracked and insured option includes one free reshipment if a parcel goes missing.
Interac e-Transfer, credit card, Bitcoin and cash are all accepted, and if the stretch gets away from you in week two of flower, our team answers by phone, email, WhatsApp and live chat seven days a week.
