Watermelon Zkittlez Strain Feminized Marijuana Seeds

Price range: $65.00 through $240.00

Watermelon Zkittlez strain tastes like the pink end of a bag of fruit candy: sweet watermelon on top, grape and tropical fruit underneath, with a sour little edge. It is a cross of Watermelon and Zkittlez, sits between a balanced and an indica leaning hybrid, and tests 20% to 28% THC. It flowers in 8 to 9 weeks, forgives beginner slip-ups and handles a cold night better than most candy strains. Our feminized seeds are already in Canada and ship from Vancouver, BC in 3 to 7 business days.

Watermelon Zkittlez Feminized at a glance: Watermelon Zkittlez is a Watermelon x Zkittlez hybrid that flowers in 8 to 9 weeks, tests 20% to 28% THC, and yields 400 to 550 g/m² of dense, purple-flecked buds with a loud watermelon candy and grape nose.

A candy strain that copes with a cold snap, shipped without crossing any border

Plenty of fruit strains sulk the first time a September night dips to five degrees. Watermelon Zkittlez tends to colour up instead, which is why it earns a place in gardens from Saskatoon to Sherbrooke. The seeds are already stored in our Vancouver, BC seed bank, so an order placed in March is in your hands well before a late April germination. Parcels go out in plain packaging, stay inside the country, and arrive in 3 to 7 business days. Every lot is viability tested before packing and covered by our 80% germination guarantee, with buy one get one free on 10 and 25 seed packs.

Where Watermelon Zkittlez comes from

Watermelon Zkittlez strain was put together on the American West Coast by pairing a Watermelon plant with Zkittlez, the grape and tropical candy cultivar that took two Cannabis Cups in 2015 and went on to parent Runtz. The Zkittlez side is usually traced to Grape Ape and Grapefruit with a third, unnamed contributor. The Watermelon side is murkier: some write-ups call it Watermelon Kush, others a melon-scented cut with no published pedigree, and no source agrees on which plant was the mother.

What everyone does agree on is the result. The cross kept the Zkittlez candy shell and added a fresh, juicy melon note that most fruit strains only hint at. Short forms such as “Watermelon Z” on dispensary menus refer to this same strain, although different cuts circulate, so a little variation between phenotypes is normal.

Watermelon Zkittlez strain effects and experience

The first few minutes bring a giggly, light-headed rush that makes conversation easy and music sound better. That bright stage holds for roughly an hour before a warm, loose feeling spreads through the shoulders and legs. At a modest dose it stays pleasant and social; push it and the indica half takes charge, ending the evening on the couch with a snack.

Because the THC can reach the high twenties in a good crop, one small session is a sensible first test. Dry mouth and dry eyes are the usual complaints, and a few people report a moment of racing thoughts if they rush a second round.

Watermelon Zkittlez flavour, aroma and appearance

Open a jar and the watermelon hits first, closer to a watermelon gummy than the fruit itself. Behind it sit grape, a little berry and a squeeze of citrus, with an earthy, herbal base that shows up when the bud is ground. The exhale is sweet and slightly sour, like the coating on a sour candy. Limonene, caryophyllene and myrcene lead most terpene reports, and some lab sheets also pick up ocimene, which explains the green, fresh-cut note.

The buds are moss green, heart-shaped and dense, with burnt orange pistils and a thick frost of trichomes. Cool nights in the last two weeks push purple into the sugar leaves and sometimes the calyxes.

Growing Watermelon Zkittlez in Canada

Indoors

This is a good first feminized strain. Veg for four weeks, flip at 40 to 50 cm and expect the plant to finish around 100 to 140 cm. It drinks a moderate amount of nutrients and shows clearly when it wants more, with lower leaves fading in week four of flower. Keep the day temperature at 23 to 26 degrees, let humidity fall to 45% from week six, and harvest between day 55 and day 65. A clip fan under the canopy keeps air moving through the dense middle buds.

Outdoors, by region

An 8 to 9 week bloom puts this strain within reach of most Canadian gardens. On the BC coast and in southern Ontario it is ready in the last week of September. In the Okanagan, the Kootenays and the Montreal plain, a late May transplant finishes in early October. On the Prairies, germinate indoors in mid April and harden the plant off for a week before it goes outside after the last frost; a sunny, south-facing bed in Regina or Winnipeg will usually finish it by the first days of October. Its tolerance for a chilly night helps, but heavy autumn rain on dense colas is the real risk, so thin the inside of the plant in August.

Height and training

Watermelon Zkittlez grows with a strong central stem and evenly spaced side branches. Topping once and pulling the branches outward with soft ties gives eight to ten colas of similar size, which suits a 1.2 metre tent. If bending branches is new to you, our low stress training guide shows where to tie and how far to pull.

Flowering and harvest cues

Pistils turn orange from about day 45, and the buds swell visibly in the last ten days. Check trichomes from day 55: milky with a scatter of amber gives the brightest, most social result, while waiting for 15% to 20% amber tilts it toward relaxation. Dry slowly at 18 degrees and 60% humidity; the watermelon note is the first thing lost in a fast, hot dry.

Watermelon Zkittlez yield indoors and outdoors

Indoors, a trained canopy under a decent LED returns 400 to 550 g/m², and the dense buds keep their weight after drying. Outdoors, plants in large pots or in the ground give 600 to 900 g each in a warm season, with the top of that range reserved for long BC and Ontario summers. Prairie plants started in April typically land toward the lower half of that range, still a very good return for a candy strain.

Who Watermelon Zkittlez is for, and who should pick something else

Choose Watermelon Zkittlez feminized seeds if you want a sweet, fruity strain that will not punish a first grow, if your garden sits somewhere a September cold snap is likely, or if you want a social hybrid that can still wind you down later.

Pick something else if you want pure gas or earth in the jar, or if you need a strictly daytime strain; heavy use of this one leans sleepy. For a stronger grape and candy experience on a similar plant, the original Zkittlez is the parent to compare.

How Watermelon Zkittlez compares

Zkittlez itself is more grape and less melon, a little shorter and more indica in feel. Plain Watermelon is the heavier, sleepier side of the family. Watermelon Gelato is its direct child, crossing it with Gelato for a creamier, denser bud. Rainbow Belts is another Zkittlez descendant with a sharper sour candy profile. You can browse every balanced cross in our hybrid feminized seeds range.

Frequently asked questions about Watermelon Zkittlez

Is Watermelon Zkittlez indica or sativa?

Watermelon Zkittlez is a hybrid that sits between balanced and indica leaning, usually quoted between 55/45 and 70/30 in favour of indica. The first hour feels upbeat and giggly, and the body relaxation grows from there, so most people treat it as an afternoon or evening strain.

How strong is Watermelon Zkittlez?

Watermelon Zkittlez typically tests between 20% and 28% THC, with CBD under 1%. A well grown, properly cured crop lands toward the upper half of that range. Start with a small amount, because the relaxed second stage arrives after the cheerful first one.

What does Watermelon Zkittlez taste like?

It tastes like watermelon candy first, followed by grape, berry and a little citrus. Ground buds add an earthy, herbal note, and the exhale finishes sweet with a slight sour bite, much like a sour fruit gummy.

Is Watermelon Z the same as Watermelon Zkittlez?

Yes, Watermelon Z is simply a shortened menu name for Watermelon Zkittlez. Several cuts of the Watermelon x Zkittlez cross circulate, so expect small differences in colour and sweetness between phenotypes, but the strain is the same.
